Hampshire Country School is going above and beyond ADA regulations by creating new accessible faculty housing! Three Wheel Pads will be placed in a 'U' formation on a foundation with one roof over all, creating "Trio". Each faculty member will have her/his own accessible bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and storage along with a private means of egress. The shared courtyard boasts the formal entry to "Trio", a large kitchen and dining area, as well as comfortable lounge chairs. This is exciting!

Hampshire Country School (HCS) needs housing for faculty members by July. Initial idea: renovate. The cost and construction time: too high, too slow. Solution: Place three Wheel Pad units in a 'U' shape and cover with a roof for common space. The "Trio" solution was more economical, environmental, and able to be completed in less than half the time than a more traditional approach.

Bonus: This solution furthers the commitment HCS has to accessibility for all by providing accessible housing for faculty. It also strengthens the shared values of HCS and Wheel Pad L3C: Inclusion, Connection, Community, Sustainability, Flexibility, Financial Viability, and Options.
